FSET Program Assistant

Applications are being accepted for the Program Assistant who will provide secretarial and other support services for the FoodShare Employment and Training (FSET) program and the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board (SWWDB).

The Program Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for FSET referrals, assist with in person orientations, enrollments and set up appointments and orientations, at the local offices in Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Richland, and Rock counties as well as maintaining all follow-up contact with a referred customer.

Responsibilities involve customer service and receptionist duties; confidential secretarial support including document processing; storage and retrieval; meeting planning and coordination; meeting documentation; and correspondence processing and routing. Other duties include maintaining positive and effective relationships with Board members, SWWDB staff, and constituency groups; managing multiple projects simultaneously; and establishing and maintaining helpful and constructive communications. The Program Assistant is required to exhibit initiative and sound judgment, the ability to work independently, a pleasant and affable attitude, and an aptitude for handling sensitive information confidentially. Strong computer skills and experience are essential.

Primary work location will be based out of the Janesville FSET office but travel through the WDA 11 may be required. Position will be Monday-Friday 8-4:30PM.
