AODA Counselor
AODA Counselor I/II/III
Under the supervision of the Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) Supervisor, the AODA Counselor will be proficient in the AODA core counseling functions related to the field of alcoholism and other substance abuse and all areas related to the field. Additionally, the AODA Counselor is trained to assess intoxicated drivers using the Department of Transportation’s Driver Safety Plan.
Qualifications
AODA Counselor I
- A bachelor’s degree in a counseling related field.
- A minimum of one year of experience in counseling is desired.
- Education/training in chemical dependency is mandatory since an AODA Counselor must obtain Wisconsin certification as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor within forty-two (42) months from the date of hire.
AODA Counselor II
- Requires Wisconsin certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor.
AODA Counselor III
- Requires Wisconsin certification as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor.
Compensation and Benefits
AODA Counselor I
- Group 4/Grade 61/Non-Exempt
- Starting Salary $19.09/hour
AODA Counselor II
- Group 4/Grade 63/Non-Exempt
- Starting Salary $20.68/hour
AODA Counselor IIIAODA Counselor III
- Group 4/Grade 64/Non-Exempt
- Starting Salary $21.56/hour
