Local Workforce Development Organization Leader to Retire
|PLATTEVILLE – Dr. Robert “Bob” Borremans, CEO of the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board (SWWDB), has announced his retirement effective the end of August, 2014. Bob has served in this leadership role for the past 11 years.|
|The SWWDB is a multimillion dollar organization that provides workforce training and employment placement through the administration of the federally mandated Workforce Investment Act (WIA) directives. The board is made up of public and private sector professionals dedicated to administering and directing employment issues and opportunities in a six (6) county area including Rock, Green, Lafayette, Iowa, Grant and Richland Counties. SWWDB is also responsible for oversight of the job centers in southwest Wisconsin. There are 11 workforce boards in Wisconsin.|
